10 bad tips for driving in the snow

Ok, Here are a couple things to keep in mind while driving in the snow.

1. when your tires are spinning, slam the peddle to the metal. By doing this, not only does it make you slide more, but it also does not help your gas mileage.

2. When there are two cars doing donuts in a parking lot, try to ram them with your own car. By doing this, you might be able to sell the cop on the person for reckless driving charges, and then you might get money in your pocket

3. when going down a hill, make sure you brake hard enough to lock up your wheels. This gives you the feeling that you are on a sled with no control.

4. when turning a corner, go as fast as you can before the turn and then try to take the corner like a race car driver. by doing this you should be sliding into the intersection and ready to hit a car. please brace for impact.

5. when doing donuts in a parking lot, always try to stay close to the curbs. by doing this you may end up hitting the curb ruining your axel, CV joints, rims and possibly popping your tire.

6. when going up a hill, build as much momentum before hand in order to get to the top. If you lose momentum before reaching the top don't give up. keep that gas peddle down and never keep your eye off your goal. Don't look behind for other cars behind you. keep focused! By doing this you may have more motivation to conquer the hill next try.

7. when driving on the road, please tail the person in front of you. if the person hits his brakes, you are bound to slide into him. The fun part about this is, you get to play bumper cars. the best part about this idea is that if you're fully covered insurance will pay for your damages!!!

8. if there is snow on your windshield don't scrap it off. By doing this, it blinds your driving and you get to have the thrill of not knowing of what you'll run into.

9. when drifting around corners, make sure there are tons of cars near by to keep you from drifting off the road.

10. Be aggressive as you drive in the snow. have fun, don't hold back. by doing this you are going are going to have more fun than you ever imagined!

want a burger?

Ok, so, Yesterday I spent all day finishing writing my 10 page paper and it took me a little over 13 hours. it was crazy! but I got it done but not all the way edited. So, the paper needed to be turned in by 7 pm. by the time I was done editing my paper it was 7:15.

side note: my class made a rule where if your cell phone went off in class you owe the class donuts. and my cell phone went of twice so I owed them donuts twice.

so I left and as I was driving to class the thought came to my head, "hey stop by and get some donuts for the class." as this thought came to my head I saw a Burger King and I decided to stop there and by them each a burger.

I ordered 12 Jr. Woppers, and 12 Spicy Chicken sandwiches. Totaling 24 burgers. as I arrived to class no one was there. it turned out that all we needed to do is turn in the paper. SO I gave 5 burgers to my teacher. and left with 19 burgers in had. Luckily I was on my way to a Birthday party. So there would be plenty of people at the party to eat the burgers. But since the party started at 8, it just so happened that everyone had just eaten their dinner and did not want any of my burgers!

Any how, Luckily, we were all going to laser assalt and we stopped by an apartment complex called rain tree apartments. there I found plenty of young adults starving and wanting my burgers.
I was happy to feed them for free and even though it sucked to not feed who I wanted to initially. I am glad that I got to feed cool people.

My blessings

Yesterday on Friday my sister April calls me and asks me if we are going to play and I said, "yes." well we didn't really have anything planned so watched some VHS and we actually watched D2 Mighty Ducks. That movie brought back so many memories and to say the least, I wish I had Rollerblades and a hockey stick. It brought back the memories of my friends that would play street hockey all the time.

So this month has been a tight budget month for me. So I bought this really sweet looking Nissan Maxima and it is very sexy. It is definitely been a really fun car to drive. There is only one problem with it. It didn't have a sub-woofer hooked up in it yet. I have had this car for about a month and I missed the sound of my sub. Well, luckily, I have a nice Brother-In-Law Spencer, who has 2 friends named Carl and Matt. I would consider Carl and Matt to be one of the greatest people on earth. The have a great talent and they are willing to help others. I was initially going to pay them for helping hook up my sub but they did it for free!!!!! I was so thankful for them allowing me to keep my money because I desperately needed it. They are so cool for helping me out!

I am so grateful for great friends who help me remember the Lords blessings. I am grateful for people who have a kind heart and offer a their skills to benefit others. I'm grateful for tithing also . though being tight on money, the lord has allowed me to afford gas, a 5 dollar large pizza for April and I, plus I got to return an item I bought at Circuit City and I got reimbursed for it saving me 33 bucks!!! After looking back I can see the Lords hand in my life and at the time that these things were happening I never realized it.

Making the best of each situation

First off, I would like to Thank all those who responded to my last blog about my love life that i have just deleted. I didn't even know y'all actually looked at it. I would have to admit it was a pretty sad post. I wrote it late at night and like usual I was wishing I had a girlfriend.

Being a teacher is a great job! Right now I am a assistant teacher helping teach "special needs" kids basic life skills of life. I love it so much! I am glad I am happy in this day of my life. I love my students and I love the work environment!

Stress is always showing its face in class. Students cry, through fits, ignore instructions, and don't listen. But I find it amazing that those stressful moments only last a couple minutes. The rest of the time is spent laughing because my students say the darnest things and they do some funny things.

I usually do look for the good in each situation. When I get in one of my "moods" it only lasts for a time. I don't spend to much time wallowing in my own sorrows. It helps me get over my sorrows if I just write about it or just vent. When I vent or write about my mood I can get over myself within the hour.

Being single does have its perks. Such as I can get more stuff done, I don't have someone following me around all the time, I can cuddle all I want with different girls, and I don't ever have to compromise about what I want to buy. There are more but I'm not going to bother listing them.

Even though my both of my "so called" relationships have lasted long, I was happy during the time I was with the person because I chose to be happy. I didn't want to be around her in a bad mood, so I always chose to make the best of each situation that I was in.

Indeed being happy is the way to go. I am grateful for my family not pressuring me to get married and always putting up with my complaints. I love my family so much and I do enjoy my life. Attitude is everything the only thing that can hold me back is making that decision to be happy.

Due to popular demand

Due to popular demand I am going to post another updated story about my life! It all began in when Mike Gleave (named changed for privacy issues) decided to go to my house for a good time and watch a movie called Major Pain. (Movie named changed due to copy writing infringement issues) Since we were at Mike's house it was logical to go to my house to watch the movie. It also made sense because I was the one who bought the movie for my dad, and that also made it so we owned the movie. (side note, I bought the movie for him so I could watch it. In fact I opened up the movie and watched it before I gave it to my dad as a gift!) So a decision had to be made... walk to my house or come up with a faster way to get there. We chose the faster way to get to my house. We tossed around ideas and we came to the conclusion to Rollerblade over to my house.
There was only problem with this decision. There was only one set of blades for the two of us. But like most problems most of them can be resolved. The way we solved the problem was that Mike was going to wear the left blade and I was going to wear the right. We put on our blades and we were out the door going to my house. Along the way there was a hill. This hill has claimed many injuries. Such as bad road rash, broken bones, and worst of all the reputation of wrecking on the hill. Today was my day to go down that hill and conquer! I got in the middle of the hill and stood at the top and looked down. 500 feet of pavement was between me and the turn to get to my house. Without thinking I pushed off and started down the hill. 5mph escalated to 20. Half way down the hill a voice said slow down. I put my foot down to take action on slowing down and to my astonishment I almost fell on my face. It was then when I thought to find grass and wreck on it. I found my grassy yard to my left and I moved as quickly as possible in order not to miss my landing pad. My approach was perfect. The grass was coming closer and I was ready to dive and roll for a good nice landing.
As I approached the curb I underestimated my speed and I tripped on it. I flew 10 feet before crashing on to the beautiful rock hard drive way. It was then that I rolled on to the grass! I came to a stop finally and I noticed that my left hand didn't feel right. I knew at that moment I was going to look at a broken bone. Sure enough I lifted up my left hand and saw that it was surely broken. My middle finger was the worst looking. It curved to the right overlapping my pointer finger. It also was pushed backwards toward my wrist. As for my pointer finger and ring finger they both were also rolling back toward my wrist.
Mike came quickly to my aid and saw the whole thing. He was smart and stayed on the side walk and went down slow down the hill. As he came near me I said "Mike I think I busted my hand." He replied "Whatever man you probably just sprained it." I showed him my hand and he said, "Yep, that is broken." I got up and took off the blade and he and I started to walk to my house. Luckily my dad was there to take me to the hospital. I got my ex-rays and my Uncle Mike who is a doctor examined my ex-ray. He said, "Wow that is a pretty clean break!" He then looked at my hand and noticed something strange and looked at the ex-ray again and he then said, "Holly S___! That is a really bad break!" It was then that it was revealed to me that I broke 3 fingers, and in my middle finger I broke my growth plate that is contained in my knuckle. My uncle sent me to another doctor to reset my broken fingers.
I can't remember the doctors name so we will call him doctor. So I was sat down on a bed and I was given a numbing shot and waited a couple minutes before the doctor came in to reset my fingers. He said told me to look away. I did and that is when he went to town and I could feel him pulling on my fingers and I could hear my bones popping and grinding into place. The whole procedure took like 10 minutes. He slapped a soft cast on me for 6 weeks and I was back to my normal self.
The end result is that my middle finger was not set properly and now it bends awkwardly backwards.

Fainting under the drinking fountain at the Cracker Barrel

The day was 24 July, 2008. We just barely got back from the lauret family reunion. I had just recieved word that we were going to go swimming at 4:30 at the PG pool. The time was 3:00 and I thought I could give plasma and still make it on time for swimming. I did give my plasma and I was 20 minutes late to the pool. April, SpencO, Micah and I played water basketball. It felt like I was baking inside of a dutch oven because it was so hot outside. Nevertheless, we still played ball in the pool. Little did I know, I was dehydrating myself and slowly not feeling good. It didn't hit me to eat or drink a lot after giving plasma until later that night. Lani, my sister, joined April and Spencer, Micah, Mandy, and Jaxon, and I to eat at the Cracker Barrel. We finished our meal and I needed to stand up because I was feeling claustrophobic. I decided I needed to go to the bathroom. I started to get really lightheaded on the pot and I made a decision to pass out in the stall or to pass out outside of the bathroom. I decided outside of the bathroom would be more sanitary. I hurried and finished my business. I pulled up my pants and I stumbled out toward the door to get out of the bathroom. About five steps before the door, my cheeks felt flushed and that's when the walls started to close in. My steps became quicker so I could make it outside the door, and I opened the door and collapsed. I looked at the ceiling and it spun and I was looking up at the drinking fountain, cause I was right under them. The person who was in the bathroom with me came out and saw me on the floor. My zipper was undone and I didn't buckle up my belt. He said, "Are you alright?" I said, "Yah, I just need to lay here for awhile." As I did so, my blood started to enter into my brain and I felt better. I was probably on the floor for 5 minutes. And I got up and I made it home to go to bed.

Lesson learned: I now know what its like just before a person dies and never returns, except I returned. And now I know not to exercise right after donating plasma. You need to wait 24 hours before vigorous activity.
